-Appearance-

Iaophae is well...what many today would call, bad. She stands at about 5’10, with golden tan skin due to her mulatto ancestry. Her hair is naturally blacker than ink with perfect, loose curls that reach down to her waist, but since she is a Rusalka, she often changes her hair every single day. One day it’ll be white and straight, one day it’ll be like Marilyn Monroe, the next day it’ll be dreadlocks, it depends on her mood. The most striking thing about her would be her body; hourglass would be an understatement to describe this woman. She has wide, round hips with a ridiculously small waist, as well as a busty chest and arched back. Iao has thicker, curvaceous thighs complimenting her long legs and she does not give two damns if one does not like it. But most of all, her trademark is definitely her most notable asset, if you catch one’s drift.

The Trinidadian has large, almond shaped eyes, the color of gemstones themselves; specifically sapphire. Her lashes are so long they appear to be extensions, and she has full, fat lips that are sculpted by Aphrodite herself. She has a button nose, shapely cheekbones and a heart shaped face that all puts up well together. She always has her acrylic nails done, always always always, and has been known to dress like one’s ‘typical’ Instagram baddie.

Miss Race is….well, Miss Race is a handful, to put it lightly. She is full of life and bursting with sass, she definitely is a very independent woman, with a hard head and fiery disposition. That tongue is made of silver, yet she hardly ever lies, given that Iaophae is a very upfront, straightforward person. She is the kind of woman who doesn’t like to mess around. However in contrast, Iao is rowdy, full of mischief and will often do the opposite of what you tell her. She has a very domineering attitude, commanding and confident- coming off as cocky often, but hey, Iaophae Rose Race knows she’s bad. The lass looks like she has a million plus followers on her Instagram! Some may automatically assume that this alluring, confident woman would not be much of a mental adversary, she can assure you they are wrong. Iaophae is extremely intelligent, and given that the lass grew up incredibly fast (and has been alive for nearly two centuries), she is even more so wise.

-Origin Story-

Hundreds of years ago, there was a young witch doctor from the Caribbean island of Trinidad known as Yasiel. He was taken from his homeland all the way to the slavic countries of Europe to be sold as a slave.There he did so, drawing out back breaking labor in the hot sun, growing tobacco and cotton. But on rare occasions, Yasiel found time for himself. One of those days, he wandered the woods and stumbled upon a lake- there he met a beautiful Trinidadian woman named Iskra, and Yasiel fell in love with her the moment he laid eyes on her. Every day, he would find a way to return to the lake to be with her, entangled in her love, intoxicated by her voice. But Iskra held an ulterior motive- the woman was a Rusalka, a mermaid like Fae that dwelled in lakes and feasted on humans, or kept them as pets. Yasiel was no exception to this. He was captured by the Rusalka and her harem, kept as a pet. But in turn, Iskra fell pregnant and gave birth to a baby girl whom Yasiel named Ymir. Yasiel raised her on his own and taught her the ways of a witch doctor in their stone prison for ten years, until they finally managed to escape during the Rusalka Nedelya. Yasiel had devised a plan to get back to the isle of Trinidad, but alas he only had the shirt on his back and his daughter. A black man and child would not be safe in Europe.

One day, he assaulted a theatre actor who was passing by, robbing him of money- and a mask. A theatre mask which was half matte black, half metallic silver. From then on, Yasiel provided for his daughter by theft and murder, each time he committed a crime, he wore the mask that he had stolen. As they made their way across the continent over the years, Yasiel became known as the Masked Man, and became a high ranked patron on the most wanted list. Before they reached the Atlantic Ocean, Yasiel was soon caught, which left Ymir on her own at the age of sixteen. She still possessed her fathers mask and began to commit the same crimes he had to fend for herself, dressing as a man and wearing the mask to hide her identity. The half human, half Rusalka did eventually get caught up to whilst she was dwelling in France, and in a desperate attempt to escape, Ymir leapt into the ocean. She swam for days and passed out from exhaustion, and the hybrid was lucky enough to wash up on the shores of Scotland. This is where Ciar Race found her. The seventeen year old brought her back to his treehouse and he and his father nursed her back to health. Ciar was a Cat Sith, his father a chief of their Sith clan, leading a rebellion against the humans in Scotland. As Ymir stayed there, she became enthralled with the beauty and magic of the country...and of Ciar. She fell for him and after years they did marry.

And then came Iaophae.

She was born a triplet with two brothers, Kyle and Maddox.They were a close, loving family that were drenched in the myths and folklore of Scotland, learning the ways of a Cat Sith- but soon enough, Iaophae and Kyle began to present something more promising, and Ymir began to teach them the ways of a witch doctor. Ymir gave birth to Ness, their youngest child, and still the family remained close. However, every year during the Rusalka Nedelya, Ymir would leave her family so they would never see the true her- always leaving with no explanation. One day, young Iao nearly drowned in a lake- the only thing that saved her was the fact that her tail and gills appeared. She was rescued by her mother, who only became furious and beat Iaophae, telling her to never go in the water. In Ymir’s mind she was right to do this, she had seen the treachery that Iskra had committed, and did not want Iaophae to give into her cannibalistic, dark roots...for with the Rusalka, comes the Nedelya. Ymir forced Iaophae into painful rituals to keep the Rusalka blood at bay, never telling Iao why, even when these rites caused blisters to blossom on the poor girls leg. However, havoc would soon wreck the family.

Ymir became pregnant and she prayed it was not another female child, as Rusalka blood only affected females. She gave birth to twins- a boy and a girl named Desmond and Maeve. Ciar was elated, yet Ymir began to act aloof, careless even. And she did not leave for the Nedelya. Whilst bathing Desmond, the cannibalistic lust overcame the Trinidadian woman and she ate her own son. She then turned and devour Maddox, Iaophae was next on the list as well and Ymir would’ve eaten her too if Ciar wasn’t forced to kill the love of his life. This tragic story spread quickly across Scotland and the rumor mill began to turn- and in human eyes, the entire of family of Sith’s were cannibals. Riots began, the family was forced to go on the run, and Ness was murdered along the way. Ciar decided that his two eldest children must go and become all they could be, and earn the respect of the humans in order be spared, while he watched over the baby girl Maeve. Kyle went off and was never seen again, but Iaophae went to train with Ruath- a traveling, nomadic soothsayer revered across the land. And she learned quickly, becoming just as respected at such a young age. When they returned to Northern Scotland, Saxon, Ruath’s son fell head over heels for the  sexy young soothsayer but she never truly returned those feelings.

However Saxon was half Slavic, hailing from the same countries Ymir was born in, and once he informed Iao about the truth of Rusalka’s, she became enraged. She drank away the pain of her mothers lies, and the lass soon lost her virginity in one drunken night with Saxon. He took this as initiative although she never truly loved him, but she could make it work...right? At the age of sixteen, Iaophae returned to the water, finally swimming as a Rusalka should, gills, tail and all. And she loved it. Oh but then the Nedelya struck her. For a week she devoured all in sight- including her beloved mentor and Saxon. And all of Scotland then wanted the murderers head. Iaophae went into hiding as she was hunted- before she faked her own death. After that, Iaophae travelled the world for all of her life, collecting all sorts of masks and becoming the Woman of the Silver Mask, and living for thousands of years on her own, facing all woes alone…

Iaophae has been to every continent, enticing and enchanting many over hundreds of years, carrying out her duties as a soothsayer and witch doctor, occasionally returning to Scotland. Her image has been carved into Egyptian tombs, some say she inspired the likes of Aphrodite and Venus, she played the ancient version of soccer with the Aztec, played bongos with the aborigines, conquered worlds with the Mesopotamians, her company was enjoyed by Genghis Khan, she prayed in the beautiful temples of India and drank in the wisdom of Siddhartha, the first Buddha. None of her adventures could’ve prepared her for Callum however. Callum was the leader of a pagan cult- Sun Worshippers. They needed a ritualist for their practices, and Iao was the perfect subject. The woman was kidnapped and stored somewhere in the darkest depths of Romania, used in painful rituals that reminded her all too much of her mother. And Iao struck Callum’s fancy immediately, after all the woman was beautiful. He forced her to be his, abusing her most nights for years. To this day, Iao can’t remember how long she was there. Callum did eventually impregnate her, despite her withered, beaten state. The cult was sure that the baby would be the sun incarnated. Iaophae knew from a young age she would never be a mother but here, she refused to bring a life into the world that would face the same abuse. She escaped finally- but at what cost? She endured an agonizing, unnaturally painful premature birth days later, and the little boy born was extremely sickly on March 17th. She never left his side, never set him down, for Iaophae knew he wouldn’t last long. He perished three days and seventeen hours after his birth. Ever since then, Iaophae hasn’t been the same and she probably never will be. She became colder, ice hearted and Miss Race never planned on turning back.

She is a petite little thing, only weighing about ten pounds. Iao has a fluffy little body, with long thick black fur, a splash of white staining her chest like all Cat Sith’s have. Besides that, her eyes are extremely large, remaining a sapphire blue. She appears to be a normal cat but if one were to look closer, they would see a human like intelligence in those eyes- as well as mischief!

-Sith Form-

In this form, Iao appears to be a giant feline, about the size of a wolf or leopard. She has pitch black fur with a splash of white on her chest, her eyes narrow and a sapphire blue. In this form, she is more powerful in terms of physical strength and this is her true Fae form, being a Cat Sith.

-Mer Form-

From the waist up, she appears completely human, save for the purply-blue gills at her neck. From the hips down, however, she has a long, lissome lavender tail with a ruffled, feather like fin that travels effortlessly through the water. In this form, Iaophae also has webbed fingers.

-Nedelya Form-

Ah, the demon that hides itself in a beautiful woman's body- most of her hair falls out leaving patches of curls, her back hunches over pushing her spine almost through her skin. Four inch claws sprout from her fingers and toes, her eyes roll back and the corners of her mouth rip and stretch all the way back to her ears, making for a grotesque, bloody permanent grin. In this form, Iaophae is incredibly physically strong and must be restrained, or she will kill everything with a beating heart.

 Iaophae Rose Race lives in a beautiful treehouse she has built over the years, which resides beside her own private lake. Woven through the trees are multiple sectors of the house, connected by bridges and ladders, with lanterns laced throughout for lighting at night. Iaophae loves it here. The treehouse is built upon enchanted land called "in between space." Iaophae has put this spell on her property so that her home can exist in any country that she had connected it to through magic, therefore, it can exist in multiple places. However the treehouse is originally located in Scotland.

-Ivan the Terrible-
a spunky little cream colored French bulldog puppy, who Iao has recently bought and is full on in love with. He loves to bark at nothing and quite possibly might be schizophrenic. Who cares? Definitely not Miss Race.

-Zazoo-
a beautiful, full figured toucan that accompanied Iaophae during her trips to the Amazon. Iaophae met him during the 1500s Aztec Empire, where she also met Itzpa. Zazoo was a fallen toucan fledgling that Iaophae reared and helped to fly. Ever since then, they've been together. The judgmental and picky bird grew quite fond of her, and she him. Now? Here they are.

Found in the forests of Thailand as a little wounded, abandoned cub Iaophae raised the red panda and now he is a happy little red thing, who coils around her shoulders, explores the treehouse and absolutely adores her.
